Bowen, Airly, Mackay

  
Arrived at Bowen for a few days

A drive inland to the coal mining town of Collinsville 
Statue of a Pit Pony that worked with the miners 

amazing museum taking you back in time with a range of interactive displays and audio-visual exhibits  



a visit to horseshoe bay Bowen to experience a stunning sunset 
 








Airlie beach just as beautiful as the last time we visited 3 years ago

A visit to the Field of Dreams
miniature operational sugar mill and distillery at Sarina, an excellent experience 
plenty of exhibits to inspect 

plenty of beautiful spots around Mackay to see,
with plenty of sugar plantations surrounding the fringes 













another trip inland this time through the pioneer valley to
Finch Hatton Gorge and Eungella National Park

did the gorge and crossed these fords 3 years ago,
but couldn't resist going again 






not as much water as last time but still spectacular 






the trip up to Eungella was quite an experience 
and the view from the top was even better
